Critical Care Physician Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Facility in Northern Georgia

A hospital is seeking critical care locums coverage.Get in touch with nature while in North Georgia and visit one of the Georgia State Parks near Helen, which includes Smithgall Woods and Unicoi.The facility, a Level I trauma center using EPIC, is seeking Board-Certified MDs or DOs to provide ICU coverage due to growth from a new tower opening. Coverage is needed ASAP through the end of August 2025, with one physician per 12-hour shift (7 AM7 PM or 7 PM7 AM) on a 7-on/7-off schedule. Day teams include four MDs, three APPs, and residents across four units, while night teams consist of two MDs and two APPs covering the entire service. Responsibilities include both rounding and admissions, responding to and running codes, and performing procedures. APPs triage admissions, carry a small census, and handle rapid responses. Anesthesia support is available. The facility prefers candidates with a Georgia license and is open to hiring one provider for day shifts and one for nights.
