Each provider typically sees 7-8 patients per day, with an average of 1-2 admissions during both day and night shifts. The role involves approximately 50 surgical cases per month and does not require responding to codes or serving as backup in the ER. Required procedures include appendectomies, strangulated hernia repairs, cholecystectomies, I&Ds, and other emergency procedures.
